Insane WWII Jeep Graveyard Photos

January 8, 2015 by JPFreek

Willys, Bantam trailers and NDT tires literally as far as you can see. These Jeep graveyard photos fall under multiple categories:

  • American pride
  • Sad beyond all comprehension
  • In case you missed it

Thousands of Jeeps and military trailers that were invaluable assets in winning the war, left to rot on Okinawa. Photographed by a Life Magazine photographer in 1949 so that later generations of Jeep lovers could look on in awe and with respect for what they helped accomplish. Thinking about the number of US warfighters that each one of these pieces of incredible equipment helped simply boggles the mind.

These pictures have made the rounds, but we never tire of looking at them. Can you imagine walking through this?
