Thousands of Jeeps and military trailers that were invaluable assets in winning the war, left to rot on Okinawa. Photographed by a Life Magazine photographer in 1949 so that later generations of Jeep lovers could look on in awe and with respect for what they helped accomplish. Thinking about the number of US warfighters that each one of these pieces of incredible equipment helped simply boggles the mind.
