JPF: Hyline Offroad is a new entry to the off highway aftermarket parts business. Can you tell us how Hyline started?
Hyline– Hyline Offroad started in 2008. We are a family owned and operated business. We have 20+ years of precision metal fabrication and manufacturing experience. We occupy a 35,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, and we currently employee 30+ employees and manufacture 26 different parts for Jeep vehicles.
JPF: What kind of products do you manufacture?
Hyline– We manufacture everything from bumpers and skid plates, to rockers and hood louver kits. Our main focus is on front and rear bumpers and rocker protection. We plan to continually expand our product line as market demand grows. Since we have an in house design/engineering team, we have complete control over our manufacturing processes which allows us to bring new products to the marketplace very quickly since we manufacture everything under one roof in the USA. To go along with our current bumper selections for the Jeep TJ, YJ, and JK models, we also offer a TJ steering box skid plate, mirror relocation brackets, and hood louver kits. Our hood louver kits have become very popular for all those high temperature Jeep motors out there. We also just introduced the hood louver kits for the Jeep Cherokee, and we have plans to produce a front and rear Cherokee bumper in the near future.
JPF: As we all know, Jeeps are the number one accessorized vehicle in the offroad industry. What makes Hyline standout in the Jeep parts marketplace? Do you plan to expand to other brands?
Hyline– Right now our focus is 100% on Jeeps. What makes us stand out is that we listen to what the consumer wants. We do extensive market research before rushing a product to the marketplace, and by having our own in house design team and manufacturing capabilities, we can tailor our products to exactly what the consumers are asking for. Our highly automated 35,000 sq ft. facility houses over 25 specialty manufacturing machines from automated lasers and robotic welding to CNC Bending and spot welding stations. We have virtually every machine needed to make a quality product. All of our products are also Ecoated before they are powder coated. This makes for a very durable factory-like finish that won’t chip or flake off easily. Most importantly, we are MADE IN THE USA.
JPF: Where did the name Hyline Offroad come from?
Hyline– When I was in college I bought my very first Jeep and was instantly hooked! On the trail, my friends always pointed out to me that I always took a different line on the obstacles. They referred to it as “taking the Hyline.” That stuck with me and we decided to call the company Hyline Offroad.
JPF: Where can consumers find your products?
Hyline– We are continually growing our dealer base. Quadratec carries our products online and we will be featured in their catalogs soon. OK4wd in New Jersey, Jeff Daniels Jeep, and Jeeperz4wd in Pennsylvania are dealers as well. Please check our website for more dealers as they are added daily. We will also be attending several shows throughout the year.
