As far as the commercials go. [UPDATE: AdWeek must have seen our post, because “Portraits” landed at #1 on their list of Super Bowl 50 ads. Proud to have called it first.]
Congrats to the Denver Broncos on their very stout win in Super Bowl 50, but the undisputed winner in the commercials was Jeep, hands down. Two brand new commercials got straight to the heart of the Jeep brand and what it’s like to be one of us, one of the Jeepers.
It may be played out, but “It’s a Jeep thing” couldn’t be more correct and these two commercials nailed it.
“Portraits,” with the message “We don’t make Jeep. You do” took a look at the history and heritage of the Jeep brand and “4x4ever” had all manner of Jeeps including a woody Grand Wagoneer and an actual Jeep wave. (Finally!!)
Well done Jeep. Well done.
