If you think traversing the backcountry in a full-equipped Jeep will cost you your first-born child, think again—this 2015 4-door Wrangler JK could be yours for the price of a fu-fu mocha. Each year, the California Four Wheel Drive Association (CAFWDA) fits a new Jeep with the newest high-tech equipment…and gives it away!
This year’s JK has been prepared by GenRight and features their Signature Series aluminum fenders, rear bumpers, and steel rock rails. Moving underneath you will find a Currie Rock Jock 44 front axle housing and OEM rear housing. Both are equipped with Yukon Zip pneumatic lockers, 4340 axles, and TBM brakes, and front sports knuckles from Reid Racing. Articulation and damping is managed by a BDS suspension and Fox shocks, while 37-inch BFG Krawlers and Raceline 982 Raptor wheels provide traction when it is needed. Under the hood, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, fitted a K&N cold air intake and Odyssey battery, transmits power to a 6-speed manual gearbox backed by an Atlas II 4.3:1 transfercase and JE Reel driveshafts.
Other cool gear includes PSC hydro-assist steering, an ARB fridge-freezer, Viair compressor, PRP seats, Rock Hard cage, Rugged Ridge half doors and hood, Kicker stereo, Warn Zeon winch, and a 50-inch light bar from Snevys. The total value of the add-ons, about $47,000. Jeep Raffle tickets are just $5, and the drawing will held February 20, 2016 at the CAFWDA convention in Rancho Cordova, California (you need not be present to win). Net proceeds go directly towards the fight to keep our public lands open! To order tickets go to www.cal4wheel.com or call Chairman Steve Gardiner at 714-293-8790.
