Warn VR8000-s

When looking for a winch for your project, you need to consider the intended use. Self Recovery? Other vehicle recovery? General purpose? During the build of the CJINTHEDRIVEWAY project we new we needed a winch for self recovery and the recovery of other light weight trail vehicles. We also knew we did not intend to use the winch for moving trees or equipment etc… this was to be just for recovery of the CJ7 and other rigs one the trail Our CJ is less that 4000 lbs loaded so using the rule of thumb 2x vehicle weight we were looking for an8000 lb winch.

Warn answered the callfor us with the new VR8000-s. The SPPYDURA synthetic line is  a great weight savings and from a safety perspective we almost always prefer synthetic for vehicle recovery. The 8000 lb pulling capacity of the winch along with the cool black color made this a proper choice. Not to mention the quality and reliability that has become synonymous with  the WARN brand. This winch is a fantastic entry point into the winch world, Warn quality, synthetic line, polished fairlead, and a price point right in line with other entry level winches on the market. This winch does not feel, look or perform like a budget model. We have had some hard pulls, multi direction, up hill, without stressing the unit. It shows no signs heat issues commonly associated with less expensive models and the line speed is better than most at this price point.

Give the a look this year, you wont be disappointed.
