While the Lowa Pinto Lo may not win the next beauty contest, these shoes are an excellent choice for those who seek quality and comfort for light backpacking excursions or merely a walk through the park.
The Lowa Pinto Lo is a handcrafted, light backpacking shoe designed to handle loads in the 30lb range. Crafted from Nubuck leather with a Vibram Pinto outsole, the shoe isn’t “light” but is extremely comfortable with the outsole providing excellent vibration dampening. Additionally, the glove leather lining on the interior screams high quality and helps aid in the overall comfort of the shoe. As Lowa puts it: “It’s like air conditioning for your feet.”
We’ve used this shoe for nearly a year now and it has become the official shoe of JPFreek Adventure Magazine for light hiking and walking the various trade shows we attend each year. It has provided lasting comfort with high quality materials and craftsmanship – staples of all the Lowa products we’ve used in the field before. While it may not be the “prettiest” shoe out there, the Lowa Pinto Lo is durable and designed to get the job done.
