Part CJ, Part TJ – 100% Cool!

November 24, 2010 by JPFreek

A true Jeep hybrid!   No, it doesn’t get 50mpg but it does turn heads at the speed of light and despite all of the awesome Jeeps at SEMA 2010, this was my absolute favorite.

The “HiLine TJ-8” was the SEMA entry by the guy that brought us the GearSafe. Matt Little, the owner of  Little Boys Off Road Toys, did an excellent job of grafting CJ and TJ hoods, CJ grill and CJ fenders on an LJ Wrangler to make the lines of this rig look like they came from the factory.

The HiLine hood moves the fenders up to give more clearance for tires with less lift which makes for a more stable Jeep with a lower center of gravity.

Want to do this great looking conversion the easy way? Matt has plans to offer a conversion kit in 2011 with all  the parts you need to convert your TJ to the classic looks of a CJ.  As soon as the kit becomes available, you can count on JPFreek to be the first to let you know.
