Airing down your tires before heading out on a muddy, sandy, or snow infested trail can be the single-most effective way to have a successful wheeling experience.
Different deflation options are out there, everything from using your Jeep vehicle key to air down your tire manually to permanent wheel fitments that rapidly decrease tire pressure. An excellent option that works much better (and more reliably) than using your key is the E-Z Tire Deflator by ARB.
Featuring a unique, patented design, the ARB E-Z Tire Deflator works by removing the valve core for rapid tire deflation. My test of the E-Z Tire Deflator clocked in at 20 seconds from 35psi to 10psi. That’s pretty darned quick!
The E-Z Tire Deflator also features corrosion resistant brass and stainless steel, and its tube gauge design ensures accuracy regardless of temperature, humidity (which is always a constant in Houston), or altitude. Plus, the gauge is protected with a rubber guard, is easy to read with 1psi increments, and the entire deflator is protected with a handy canvas pouch for storage.
In the realm of tire deflators that aren’t a permanent fitment to your vehicle’s wheels, the ARB E-Z Tire Deflator is hands down the best on the market and one that I would highly recommend.
