[Not a valid template]I’ve had the pleasure of using Rokmen gear on my vehicle before with their now defunct step sliders for Jeep TJs. The quality is unmatched with the use of superior materials and designs that are unique and functional.
It all starts with the use of 3/16” cold roll steel which, for the layman, means that we’re talking about steel that’s twice the strength of cheaper hot roll steel found throughout this crowded market. In addition, all the cuts are precision cut and CNC form bent. Installation is relatively easy though a bit time consuming as you are required to drill into you body panel. In my case, I also had to drill into the corner armor to accommodate for my Garvin Wilderness roof rack. Total install time was approximately three hours for my application.
All Rokmen TJ corner armor is delivered in bare steel which is good and bad as you can paint or powder coat your corner armor to your own liking. However, I found it difficult to find a shop willing to powder coat non-bulk items so I wound up priming and painting the corner armor myself with matte black paint.
In the end, they turned out nicely and form-fit my TJ perfectly, integrating nicely with my fender flares and requiring no modification to my tailgate hinge.
Overall, Rokmen’s high quality and precise product design continue to impress the JPFreek crew and I can happily say that for Jeep vehicle body protection, you can’t get any better than Rokmen and their TJ corner armor.
