If you’re looking to upgrade the brakes on your Jeep Wrangler JK, you might want to consider looking at Baer. For over 43 years, Baer brakes have been a fixture in every type of racing and high performance activity. Recognized amongst many for their performance and value, Baer recently released their Pro/SS4 Brake System for ’07-’15 Jeep Wrangler JKs.
The Pro front brakes feature a 6-piston caliper mounted to a 13.5″ 1-piece slotted, drilled, and zinc plated rotor. The radial mounted calipers are a 2-piece billet aluminum with six cross bolts. It features stainless steel pistons, abutments, and noise suppression springs.
The SS4 rear brakes feature a 4-piston caliper mounted to a stock size slotted, drilled, and zine plated rotor to match the front. The lug mounted calipers are a 2-piece billet aluminum with four cross bolts. They also feature stainless steel pistons, abutments, and noise suppression springs. The rear brakes are mounted using Baer’s unique Verislide bracket design. The Verislide bracket allows the fixed caliper to float with the c-clip axles.
The kit retains the factory parking brake and is designed to fit many aftermarket 17″ wheels. The entire kit is a complete bolt-on so if you’re comfortable with a set of tools, you’ll have no problem tackling this job. The brake system is available in the standard powder coat colors of red, black or silver. However, you can upgrade to additional color options or even a nickel or polish finished for an additional charge.
The Baer Pro/SS4 Brake System for the ’07-’15 Jeep Wrangler JK starts at $2,450. For more information about the kit, and to learn more about Baer; visit their website, check out their Facebook page, or give them a call at (602) 233-1411.
